Q. Where is The Dream Reborn located and when will it happen?
A. The conference will take place at the Memphis Cook Convention Center, from April 4-6, 2008.

Q. What's the price of admission?
A. The registration fee is $195 regular admission, $125 non-profit admission and $50 for students and youth. When you register online you can also contribute to our scholarship program, which will help fund community leaders and youth who need financial assistance to attend the conference.

Q. What does my registration fee include?
A. The registration fee covers the entire weekend of amazing speakers, panels, workshops, presentations, evening cultural events and performances, breakfast on April 5 and 6, lunch on April 5, and a lot more.

Q. When is the last day to register?
A. We strongly recommend you register prior to the event - April 2nd is the last day to register online. On site registration will be available during the conference.

Q. Where can I stay during the Dream Reborn?
A. Although we cannot provide housing, there are plenty of options to choose from. Check out our Lodging page for more information. There you'll find more information about homeshares and a listing of hotels with special conference rates. Hotel rooms are expected to sell out quickly on this historic weekend; please book your room as soon as possible.

Q. Will I miss school or work?
A. Probably. The conference takes place on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For most, this will require missing a day of school or work. The Dream Reborn will be a truly once in a lifetime event, a real opportunity to change the course of human history. What's a day of class or work compared to that?

Q. Who will be speaking?
A. We will hear from Van Jones (Ella Baker Center/Green For All), Majora Carter (Sustainable South Bronx), LaDonna Redmond (Institute for Community Resource Development), Mary Ann Hitt (Appalachian Voices), Reverend Yearwood (Hip Hop Caucus), Adrienne Maree Brown (Ruckus Society), Tony Anderson (Morehouse College President), Ian Kim (Oakland Green Jobs Corps), Rinku Sen (Applied Research Center), and many more.  Check our Speakers page for updates as we finalize our agenda.

Q. Are scholarships available?
A. Yes, a limited number are available for both groups and individuals. You can find out more on our Scholarships page.  

Q. What about the carbon impacts of getting to The Dream Reborn?
A. We recognize that there is a significant carbon impact in bringing all of us together in one place. We hope that the work we will do together at The Dream Reborn will support a long term strategy and vision for reducing global warming. To help reduce our impact, a portion of your registration fee will purchase carbon offsets from Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. We are dedicated to creating a conference that is as green as possible, while supporting the local community. Q. Are Registration Fees Tax Deductible?
A. No. But...donations given above and beyond your own registration fee are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law, under the provisions of Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Please donate towards our scholarship fund and help a fellow dreamer attend The Dream Reborn.

Q. Do you have a refund policy?
A. Please note: if you cancel your reservation, you may receive a refund, minus 20% to cover processing, up until March 24th.

Q. How far is downtown from the airport?
A. The Memphis International Airport is 12 miles from Downtown Memphis.

Q. What should I expect for weather?
A. The average weather in April is 72 degrees. To find out more information about Memphis' weather, visit www.memphistravel.com.

Q. How many restaurants are there in Downtown Memphis?
A. Downtown Memphis has approximately 100 restaurants (includes fine dining and fast food) with everything from hole-in-the-wall barbeque joints, Beale Street bars and grills, five-star steakhouses and award-winning signature chef and international cuisine restaurants.

Q. Is there airport shuttle service to Downtown and East Memphis?
A. Yes, Yellow Cab and Tennco Downtown Shuttle offer transportation services.

Q. Which Downtown Memphis hotels have a shuttle or airport pick-up?
A. Hotels use the Tennco Downtown Shuttle. Typical costs are $15 one-way and $25 for round-trip.

Q. How do I get around downtown?
A. Vintage trolleys serve several downtown attractions including the Memphis Cook Convention Center, Beale Street, Orpheum Theatre and the National Civil Rights Museum. See www.matatransit.com.

Q. Is there parking available?
A. Yes. There is parking available for a fee at each hotel. There is an adjacent parking lot located on the east side of the Memphis Cook Convention Center for the conference.

Q. What airlines fly into Memphis?
A. The Memphis International Airport (Airport code: MEM) is the hub of Northwest Airlines. Other major airlines that fly into Memphis include:
