With less than a month to go until The Dream Reborn, it's time to register and book your hotel rooms immediately!  If you still can't decide whether its worth it to spend that $250 on a plane ticket: it's time to get off the fence! Check out what some of the incredible folks who are coming to Memphis have to say about their work and The Dream Reborn. Come to Memphis and build the Dream with us!

Zakia from Chicago
We will change the country and the world once we develop strong relationships with each other and bring back our communities from the ground up.  And what better way to work on this process than through incorporating gainful employment options and sustainable living solutions? .... I am hoping to find my niche at the Memphis conference.  This is an opportunity to deepen my knowledge, activism, network, and skills.

Southwest Workers Union. San Antonio, Texas
Constricted by poverty, our neighborhoods are declining and we are fighting to bring life back to areas that have suffered with contaminating industries for decades.  We want to use this opportunity to gain resources and support for local work to promote this effort in San Antonio and south Texas.

Mid-South Peace and Justice Center and GrowMemphis Urban Garden Program. Memphis, Tennessee
We are mostly low income participants from across Memphis and are creating a new green economy reclaiming vacant lots and turning them into thriving center for the community.

Green Guerrillas Youth Media Justice Collective.
Ithaca, New York
The Green Guerrillas are young people of color who come to understand the role mainstream media plays in supporting stereotypes which promote sweatshops over sustainable style, genetically modified crops over locally-grown organic foods, and pollution and prisons over sustainability and social change.

Turkey Creek Community Initiative.
Gulfport, Mississippi
We are a small, community-based nonprofit organization based in the low-income Turkey Creek community of Katrina-impacted coastal Mississippi.... We will be traveling to Memphis from Gulfport by pick-up truck, towing a FEMA trailer.

Alternatives for Community and EnvironmentRoxbury, MA
Within ACE, we have been doing some collective learning about Green Jobs and the Green Economy, and we are excited about this movement as a way to reverse the historic pattern that the consequences of our environmentally destructive economy (and none of the benefits) are imposed on low-income communities and communities of color.

Michael from Las Vegas
I have been saving money for a computer, but I will use it to buy a plane ticket!

Send us a note when you register, and we'll consider posting it here!
