THE WORD REBORN: An Evening of Poetry, People & Performance

Friday's art and culture showcase, produced by Green For All, Youth Speaks, and The Highlander Center, amplified emerging youth voices of hope, purpose, and vision.  Featuring poetry, hip hop, dance, comedy, music and more, the evening inspired, informed, and invited young people to claim leadership in the new movement for social, racial, and environmental justice.  Performers included Be Brown, Mike Molina, Seasunz, Adrienne Maree Brown, Drew Dellinger, Green Guerillas, Kirya Traber and Hodari Davis of Youth Speaks, Vanessa German, Austin Willacy, Kwabena Nixon and Muhibb Dyer of The Campaign Against Violence, Aya de Leon, and Brotha's Keepa.  Download artists' bios below.

GREEN FOR ALL!  CONCERT & DANCE PARTY

Saturday's concert, produced by the Hip Hop Caucus, The Gathering and Green For All, featured an evening of live music, DJ's, dancing and special guests.  Performers included: DJ Superman, Art in Action, Rha Goddess, Fiyawata, Mosheh Milon, and the Hot 8 Brass Band.  Download artists' bios below.
